How On-Site Training Works & What You’ll Need
Safe Jetting can provide courses on your premises. We usually bring our own projector and audio equipment. We simply need an area where we can sit up to ten people safely and will use your own jetting machine for the practical side of the course.
If any of your personnel have difficulties with writing, comprehension or anything similar we would kindly ask us to let us know before the course begins.

All persons attending will require as a minimum wet suit, rubber boots with steel toe caps, protective gloves and helmet with visor and ear muffs.
If working above 1700 bar (24 650 PSI ) additional protective equipment will be required.
NOISE REGS START AT 80db!

Safety Awareness
The power used in water jetting is enough to create a serious injury to any limb. Health and Safety within the water industry is of paramount importance, and is recognised by the understanding that trained staff will have a greater awareness and appreciation of safe working practices with high pressure water. Councils, insurance companies, water utilities and the major contractors all demand that subcontract staff have the correct training and hold valid Certificates.
A number of training courses are available now, starting with the Safety Awareness Certificate. The Safety Awareness course is essential as it “Validates” the other courses. It lasts three (3) years.
After three years, another Safety course must be taken and passed in order to re-validate other course certificates. If your Safety certificate goes out of date, for any reason, your other certificates immediately become invalid. A valid Safety certificate is required to keep all certificates validated.
The Safety Awareness Certificate is the first course to be passed, followed by the Surface Preparation, Drain & Sewer Cleaning, Hydro-Demolition and Tube Cleaning modules. This module can be completed by the candidate within 3 years of the initial safety awareness course being successfully completed. There is both classroom and a strong practical content to this module.
Examination is via a Clikapad electronic voting system which is used throughout the course. The candidate has to achieve a 80% pass mark and to successfully undertake the practical side of the course before a certificate can be issued. The module details can then be added to the candidate's Identity/medical card. For course details please see the attached course itinerary.
